Terms of Service

Effective Date: 11th April 2026

1. Agreement

By using Hour Host, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Services

Hour Host provides on-demand compute, networking, and hosting services, including APIs and orchestration.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account security
  • All activity under your account
  • Any users or systems you grant access to

4. Acceptable Use / Abuse

You must not:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Perform network scanning, probing, or attacks
  • Launch DDoS or abuse network resources
  • Distribute malware or exploit infrastructure
  • Circumvent billing, quotas, or limits
  • Interfere with platform stability or other users

We may suspend or terminate access immediately without notice.

5. Network & Bandwidth Policy

Usage must remain within reasonable and intended bounds.

Prohibited:

  • DDoS, amplification, or traffic flooding
  • Open proxies, VPN exits, or relay services without permission
  • Port scanning or enumeration
  • Bandwidth resale or tunnelling without approval

We may throttle, suspend, or terminate workloads as needed.

6. Bring Your Own Compute (BYOC)

You are fully responsible for your infrastructure. Hour Host acts only as a control plane.

We are not liable for:

  • Hardware failures
  • Data loss
  • Security breaches
  • Network issues

You must ensure proper isolation and security of your systems.

7. Billing & Payments

Services are billed on a usage and/or subscription basis. All fees are non-refundable unless required by law. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination.

We may:

  • Suspend workloads and APIs
  • Delete inactive resources after non-payment
  • Recover outstanding balances

Service credits are the sole remedy for service issues.

8. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Availability

We target 99.9% uptime per calendar month.

Scope

Applies to:

  • Core APIs
  • Control plane services

Exclusions

Does not apply to:

  • BYOC infrastructure
  • Customer workloads or misconfiguration
  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Force majeure events
  • Third-party provider failures

Credits

  • Credits are account credit only
  • Must be requested within 30 days
  • Capped to fees paid

9. Abuse Enforcement (No Refund)

We may take immediate action, including:

  • Suspension or termination
  • Traffic blocking
  • Deletion of workloads

No refunds will be issued for abuse-related actions.

10. Resale Restriction

You may not resell or provide access to Hour Host services without written permission.

Unauthorised resale may result in immediate termination.

11. Platform Limits

We may enforce:

  • Resource quotas
  • Rate limits
  • Fair usage controls

We may throttle, restrict, or suspend usage at our discretion.

12. Data & Customer Content

You retain ownership of your data. You grant us a limited licence to process it to provide services.

You are responsible for:

  • Data legality
  • Backups

We do not guarantee data durability or retention. Data may be permanently deleted upon termination or inactivity.

13. Termination

We may terminate your account for:

  • Breach of Terms
  • Abuse or risk
  • Non-payment

Upon termination:

  • Access is revoked
  • Resources may be deleted immediately
  • Data may be permanently lost

14. Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, or data

Liability is limited to fees paid in the previous 12 months.

15. Disclaimer

Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

We do not guarantee:

  • Uptime or availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Data preservation
  • Fitness for purpose

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
